Non-Profit of the Year

Last week was full of exciting news as we continue to grow here at Coastal Harvest. However, Friday evening topped the week off with news worth celebrating!

Greater Grays Harbor held their annual Leaders Banquet at Quinault Beach Resort and Casino Friday evening. This is always a fun evening full of great people and positive news about happenings on the Harbor. One of my favorite parts of this evening every year is walking around to see all the different table decorations. If you’ve never had the chance to attend this event, click here to see a few of the table from this year. Best table award went to Twin Star Credit Union this year with their elegant decorations drawing everyone’s eyes from across the room.

The evening unfolded with a wonderful meal and auction items raising money for the Educational Fund through Greater Grays Harbor. This fund supports students across the Harbor through programs such as Business Week and Robotics Club. A student participating in the Robotics Club spoke to the group of roughly 275 people about his experience learning and growing through the program.

Now for the part you’ve all been waiting for: Coastal Harvest was announced as Non-Profit of the Year!

This past year has been full of transitions, updates and positive changes as we continue to work to serve our communities. We are grateful for the recognition, and even more grateful for the partnerships we’ve built along the way. This award truly shows the dedication of the Coastal Harvest staff, each and every one of them work hard every day to fulfill our mission. They go above and beyond to ensure we are able to provide nutritional value food to those in need. This award celebrates them and all their hard work!

Thank you to Greater Grays Harbor for a wonderful evening honoring those doing great work in our community. And thank to those of you who have supported Coastal Harvest, past, present and future. We would not be able to fulfill our mission without the support of our partners, donors and volunteers.
