“our Coastal Harvest team is working diligently to be more efficient, effective and intentional”–Angela Burton

“I am excited to have joined the Coastal Harvest team this year and to be writing to you about our continued success. I have been overwhelmed by the continuous generosity and support from our donors and volunteers that allow us to serve our communities in our hunger relief efforts. As we move forward into a new calendar year, I can't help but reflect on our humble beginnings. Jim Coates founded our organization thirty years ago with a simple goal: to help those in need and to feed hungry people. After all these years, we are still rooted by this goal and continue to work towards driving hunger from our communities. Our Coastal Harvest team is working diligently to be more efficient, effective and intentional to ensure we are providing the best service for the most people. I am honored to be leading Coastal Harvest through a new era where we will continue to stay grounded by our roots, yet growing to fill the need.” Angela Burton – Executive Director

“your assistance is appreciated as much as it is needed.”–Linda Karjala

“When I joined the Board eight years ago, I remember being amazed at the scope of the Coastal Harvest operation. Our trucks haul food from statewide locations. We then separate it and deliver it to our client agencies--in a service area that stretches from the Olympics to the Columbia and from the Pacific Ocean to the Cascade crest. We could not touch the lives we do without your support.  You form the foundation of the Coastal Harvest family, and your assistance is appreciated as much as it is needed.” Linda Karjala – Board Secretary

Linda Karjala: Coastal Harvest Board member for eight years. Currently serving as Board Secretary. Linda is a retired school teacher, we greatly appreciate her abilities and skills gleaned from a lifetime of teaching others.
