Coastal Harvest Programs
Farm To Food Pantry
WSDA’s Farm to Food Pantry initiative utilizes state Emergency Food Assistance Program (EFAP) funds to help hunger relief agencies across the state purchase fresh produce from their local farmers, increasing access to healthier food options for low-income residents of Washington. And mostly purchase from farms that don’t have outlets to sell what they grow.
Stafford Creek
Stafford Creek is currently growing fresh produce on over an acre of property. A majority of this produce is picked up directly by Coastal Harvest where it is sorted and built into farm fresh boxes at our warehouse. These boxes are then sent to our food pantries, feeding programs and senior centers on a weekly basis.
Mobile Food Bank
Our Mobile Food Bank presents a special opportunity to serve hungry people in remote and under-served areas. These communities are unable to support a locally-run food bank; our Mobile Food Bank may be the only regular, dependable source of hunger relief available.
